At least that way a few of the really boring, bland offerings could have been dismissed out of hand and we could have all saved ourselves a few quid and a great deal of time. In fact, the whole season pass and content additions would have possibly been much better if placed into four packs as opposed to the six we have been subjected to. Even the usual favourites of the FMX and Skill tracks are just extensions of the usual time trialing instead of being the fun providers they really should be.Īs much as it pains me to say it but I think RedLynx have run out of ideas.
#TRIALS FUSION 3 FULL#
One minute we’re navigating our way carefully across boardwalks, the next we’re being swept away in a storm and forced to ride through snow before going full circle and hitting the wood again. To sum up, After the Incident unfortunately has no flow with a strange concoction of tracks doing it no favours. It’s frustrating being sent back to the beginning after just the one fault and whilst I’d like to blame my poor Fusion skills, I can’t help but think many many others will find themselves in the same predicament. There needs to be some sense of achievement included in the skill games on Fusion and it would no doubt have been better served if the first few levels at the very least were closer to a medium leveled challenge as opposed the hard ones we have been given. ‘The Tower’ sees you trying to traverse through numerous floors with each one becoming harder to complete. It’s also a bit strange to see a hard Skill Game included. We want the chance to show off our full skillset in the FMX tracks and unfortunately Final Frontier doesn’t quite allow this at least not compared to previous offerings. For the most part it consists of smaller jumps that only give the opportunity to pull off low level stunts. ‘Final Frontier’ a medium level stunt course, allows for huge air to be gained but only on the rarest of occasions. So one track aside, things aren’t brilliant in terms of the timed courses available and being completely honest, neither the FMX or Skill Game that have been included bring much else to make this a must buy. The harder courses of ‘Dust Bowl’, ‘Radiation Sickness’ and ‘Static Discharge’ bring various one off areas to explore but when you’re finding your best times are in double digit minutes and your fault count is way over 100 on each, then the enthusiasm to return to any of them too many times is rather low…and don’t even get me started on the extreme track, ‘Meteorain’ as that is way past what my capabilities allow. The final medium ranked track, ‘Storm Chaser’ does exactly what it says on the tin, seeing you take on the destructive force that nature brings, meaning you’ll need to jump across windswept, constantly moving platforms as you take your rider on a journey into the unknown. In fact, the mix of the two and the inclusion of some tricky but more than doable climbs quite possibly puts it up there as one of the best timed tracks included in the entire Trials Fusion game. Moving back to the boardwalks that were present in the first track, ‘Overflow’ is filled with both small precise jumps and huge air grabbers, taking in some water splashes at the same time. ‘Overflow’ however is quite easily the best track in After the Incident. Again, it’s not particularly tricky to complete but at least gives you a good chance to test your riding skills against your mates. Thankfully ‘Forgotten Peak’ brings a little more enjoyment as you ride across a land filled with snow and ice.

It’s simple enough to get a bronze medal at the very least and is a pretty poor start to the latest pack. ‘Force Majeure’ sends you scurrying along wooden planks as you stick the throttle on full, powering your way through to the end of the track. What is included though is mostly average at best with only one track really standing out above anything else. It’s probably to be expected that there is no easy course on offer this time round but if your skills haven’t progressed enough to take on anything more than a simple run around by now, then you’ll no doubt not be bothering with this content anyways. There are four medium tracks, three of the hard nature and one extreme pain bringer available, all of which are accompanied by a middling FMX course and a hard skill game. Taking on tracks spread across ruined cities and devastated ecosystems, the time trials included see you moving back and forth through numerous environmental issues. As the name suggests, After the Incident sees riders investigating the cause of the disaster that has near on wiped out Earth. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but After the Incident feels like it’s been thrown out there just to fill the final space in the Season Pass collection.
